It's always an honor when rappers and influential figures use their
celebrity and wealth for good. In a show of good faith, gangsta rapper
and Queens native 50 Cent reportedly paid for the horse and carriage
procession for D'aja "Asia" Robinson, the Queens teen gunned down last
Saturday on the Q6 bus...
Robinson was laid to rest this Friday, May 24, after a week of
turmoil and unanswered questioned as to why a gunman would fire more
than 10 shots into a crowed city bus. The 14-year-old teen was riding
the bus home May 19, from a Sweet 16 when shots struck and killed her.
Police sources said the unidentified shooter fired off up to 10 shots
at the Q6 bus as it idled by a bus stop near Baisley Pond Park on
Sutphin Boulevard and Rockaway Boulevard in South Jamaica just after
8:45 p.m., the New York Daily News reported.
The bus was hit a number of times, police sources sad and one bullet
burst through a window, striking Daja Robinson, in the head.
Word broke
that the "We Up" rapper helped to pay for Robinson's funeral via social
media. 50 Cent, whose real name is Curtis Jackson, posted a message on
his Facebook page: "People always try and paint negative images about me I'm the most
genuine down to earth person and I didn't forget where I came from I
came through for baby girl by providing a horse and carriage for her.
She was pretty, innocent and didn't deserve to die like that R.I.P
D'Asia Robinson."
50 Cent a gun shot server him self, took Robinson's death to heart,
and sprung for an elaborate white horse and carriage procession. He
also shared images of the funeral on his Facebook account and on his website
